Drone Introduction & Videos - 20 minutes
  • We will watch the Tello videos for a quick introduction to the DJI drones. 
  • Check out the other videos. Scan through and watch a couple.

    Flying - 60 minutes
    ​
    We will be flying the drones today. Download the Tello App onto your own device. If you don't have your own, we'll share one. How good are your photo, recording, and flying skills? You will be capturing footage of the school.

    Upload a SELFIE of you and your partner to Google Classroom. Each person must submit their own.

    Tuesday

    Circle Time - 20 minutes

    Drone App - 10 minutes
    With your partner, go to the Tello Edu app on your phone.


     TRAINING STATION PLANET - 30 minutes
                      -01 Warp- The begging
                      -02 Farther- Adjust your distance
                      -03 Dodge- Avoid the wall
                      -04 Up- Up to sky
                      -05 Practice- Check your learning
                      -06 Landing Pad- Landing and activate the pad
                      -07 Shooting- Clear the road
                      -08 Drop- Drop and blow up
                      -09 Aim- Rotation
    • The background will show up purple once complete, they all must be purple.​

    Earth Tello App - 30 minutes

    • They should all have three stars when completed.

    Finished? ​Use block coding language to get your partner from one side of the Commons to the other.​

    Wednesday

    Circle Time - 20 minutes

    Presentation Introduction - 10 minutes

    Presentation - 60 minutes
    Create a slide show using Google Slides. 
    • Slide 1 - Title slide 
    • Slide 2 - Explain different drone designs and why they are needed
    • Slide 3 - Create a list of jobs that drones could be used for
    • Slide 4 - Design a future drone and label the unique parts of your drone and provide a description. Should be at least five parts labeled
    • Slide 5 - Include at least 1 photo you took with your drone. You and your partner should be in at least one photo
    • Slide 6 - Closing slide

    Upload your finished Google Slides presentation to Google Classroom AND a screen recording of your slides and your audio voice of giving the presentation.​​

    Thursday 

    Circle Time - 20 minutes

    Drone Flying - 20 minutes
    We'll go outside so you can continue to fly and program your drone. 

    Missing Work - 60 minutes
    Complete any missing work you have for the week. If you are finished, go to typing so you can be a fast programmer.
