    • Create a single-page website that is informative, engaging and includes a call to action. 
  • Answer the following essential question(s):
    • How can I use digital tools to communicate an important message to a wider audience?
    • How can I write a clear, action-oriented statement in the form of a call to action that urges my audience to do something specific?
  • Internalize the following enduring understanding(s):
    • A one-page website can help you communicate simple, but impactful messages or information to a wider audience.
    • A one-page website features navigation and content that stays on one single page, ensuring that the most important details, including a call to action, are easily visible to viewers.
    • A call to action is a clear, action-oriented statement that urges the viewer to take action to do something specific.

Build a portfolio with Google Sites - 10 minutes

Objectives: 
  • Create a website that includes text, images, and other files such as documents, spreadsheets, or slide presentations to share samples of their work with an audience.
Answer the following essential question:
  • How can having a portfolio help me in school and in life?
Internalize the following enduring understandings:
  • Do not share certain information online unless you are operating a business.
  • Your audience will form an impression of you from the choices you make in designing and wording your website.
  • Your portfolio is a living document that needs to be updated as you learn new skills and complete projects.

  • What are some reasons to have a portfolio?
  • How can having a digital portfolio help you in life?
  • Have you ever built a website before?
  • What other projects do you think you’d like to add to your portfolio?
